CTs are over! But no post-CT high, time was spent stoning in the treehouse and complaining about teachers. Stayover was a... traumatising experience, suffice to say my leg is "worth less than a bat" according to Edmund.
Stupid Rocky. HAHAHAHA. Oh man.
Damn shagged now. SRC tomorrow! I'm excited. The field better dry up.

"And with a cry of "Death!", the great host stirred and rode forward, to oblivion, doom and a red-day."
Death!

Sifting through a few people's blogs I realise that I'm one of those people who take no significant meaning to 29th of February. Hrm. I guess it really doesn't mean much to me - if I had not heard a radio talkshow about how women are allowed to propose on this day, I wouldn't have guessed otherwise.
Probably the one thing that is going to stay with me after this leap year is the eponymous title of the looks-like-a-wannabe-artsy film starring Ananda Everingham and Wong Li Lin. Stupid strings wailing. Everytime I heard it I roll my eyes and wring my hands in despair.
And well, one thing to say today: it's pretty hard for me to put how much I love VJ down in words, and trust me I have tried before in the past. It's also equally hard for me to convince those who do not have as much affection towards VJ as I do to try and love the school (disillusioned as I may now seem about it, especially after the change of management) but I try to understand where people are coming from - not everyone comes from Dumpy Dunman.
I guess being here did open up many doors for me, both externally and internally. Without VJ I wouldn't really be who I am today. Correspondingly I guess that is also why I cannot identify with those who love their alma maters, because I had hardly any love for mine at all.
My suggestion would be to make do with what you have, because try as you might, you can never turn back time. Being in denial just... hurts in a bitter kind of way. Trust me, I've tried it before after The Incident and it hasn't worked. Just facing up to it would be the best way to go about things.
Always look on the bright side of life, as the ol' M1 advertisement chirps (as the funny teachers in one particular Teacher's Day video) and sometimes it's better to look at what you do have (oh shit I sound like Beaver) and enjoy it, to make the best out of our lives and not look back.
Just be thankful for the memories.

THE CTS ARE COMING THE CTS ARE COMING.
Okay, good luck to everyone. I'm pretty excited about SRC in march but have to wade through this whole exam period first. Added incentive to do well: Swiss trip application depends on it. Will be moving from here to another location after that. Tentatively. Okay I will. Just maybe not immediately after.
And once i've sorted out all my photos for good, will be spamming them there. Havent uploaded any photos since December? Yeah okay, enjoy the cool weather for today.

Vee-Jay vs HCI Old Boys. Well, we lost, as expected, but the scoreline was not the point. Good defense and pitching from both sides initially only to be let down by a succession of errors on field. Made two more notable errors that were costly today, amongst others. Bats were exceptionally quiet today, with mine being the most obvious; today's strikeouts mark an 0 for 4 hitting average (havent gotten a hit in the past 4 times at bat).
Learning points include communicating, reducing errors and making contact. Rawr.
We seriously have to work on communication and teamwork. I have to work on reading the game better and on bunt plays, and also making contact with pitched balls.
Better performance next time, I hope. No, scratch that. I will perform better come next game.
I will also move my blog after CTs.

Let's say I'm talking about someone, and lets call him the Cheena-Pig Man. Cheena-Pig Man is well, a man who is damn cheena piang and looks like a pig. But let's just assume he is a pig. Firstly, Cheena-Pig Man decides to shift the nasty test involving lots of carbon compounds that many of his little piggies have to go through, 4 days earlier!
Well, the little piggies are seemingly fine with that because they think that on the day they were originally supposed to have the test, their elder piggies would be returning to collect their Abattoir Learning results.
The poor little piggies do not know that the Abattoir Learning results are being released next week and that the original day of the test is being kept free in order to reward all the elder piggies for doing well! And, Cheena-Pig Man has slyly pushed the test forward in order to "reward the elder piggies" - when the first day of the week was supposed to be meant for all the little piggies to study!
So, Cheena-Pig Man actually has not done anything at all to reward the elder piggies and instead, compromised the time of the little piggies! Imagine how all the piggies would feel if they found out what Cheena-Pig Man did.
I wouldn't want to be one of those piggies. Thankfully, I am taking the test involving learning lots of laws by the guy who got hit by an apple. Read this, all piggies taking tests involving carbon compounds! CPM is one sly pig!
